Christmas, a lovely yet hectic period for most. Today I’m sharing with you three of my favourite beauty looks for this time of year, whether it’s for a day exploring the Christmas markets, a family meal or a Christmas party, keep scrolling to see my quick, easy, yet super effective make-up looks, using a capsule collection of my favourite beauty products. The three looks will use just one palette (my must-have for this season), the L’Oréal Paris La Palette Nude Palette Beige. The combination of both matte and shimmery browns, along with the midnight blue shadow is perfect to adapt your look throughout the day.
Apply your concealer to your undereyes, and any red patches on your face. I apply Bourjois’ Radiance Reveal Concealer using my Real Techniques Blending Sponge to cover all the unwanted circles, blotchiness and redness.
For my foundation, I use Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Foundation in shade 02 and the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. This foundation is perfect for the Christmas period, as it’s long-lasting and flawless formula means it gives you the perfect coverage to go from daytime to dance-floor.
Look number 1: Daytime
This is my most-used look this month, and wear it most days when spending the day at the office. Think warm browns, glowy cheeks and a nude lip.
For my eyeshadow, I use the matte brown shade (third from the left) and apply in a sweeping motion across my eyelid. When it comes to lashes, I apply two coats of the L’Oréal Paris Volume Million Lashes Mascara, starting at the root before working my way up through the lashes.
For the finishing touches, I apply a small amount of the L’Oréal Paris True Match Highlight in Golden Glow to my cheekbones, the L’Oréal Paris Brow Artist Plumper through my eyebrows just for extra definition and volume and a lovely pink-nude lipgloss from the L’Oréal Paris Color Riche La Palette Nude (third shade from the top).
Look number two: Nightfall
This look is perfect if you have post-work plans, as it builds on your current daytime look (see look one). To take your look to the next level, using the L’Oréal Paris Palette, apply the darker shade of brown (fourth from the right), to the outer socket of the eyes, using a smudger brush, and apply in a window-wiper motion across the crease, creating more definition.
Next, apply a thin line of the L’Oréal Paris Super Liner in Black Gold across the upper lashline. This product is perfect for the Christmas season, with the gold glitter giving your eyes a festive twist.
To mix the look up a little, take the L’Oréal Paris Lip Liner Couture in 374 Intense Plum, and line your lips, before filling them in using the L’Oréal Paris Color Riche Gold Obsession Lipstick in Plum Gold. To finish, apply another coat of the Fatale Mascara, along with the brow plumper and you’re ready to go.
Look number three: Christmas Party
The final look using the L’Oréal Paris La Palette Nude Palette Beige, and it’s exactly what you need for a Christmas party.
Building on look number two, take the darkest shade of brown (second from right) and using the smudger brush again, blend this shade from the outer corner of the eye, into the socket, and run it along the lower lashline in a half-moon shape, before finishing by adding a pop of shimmer into the inner corner of your eye (third from the right).
Using the black gold eyeliner, create more drama by adding a wing to your eyeliner, before adding another coat of mascara. For extra volume, try using a combination of the Fatale mascara along with the Urban Decay Perversion to ensure the best results.
When it comes to brows, I like to have more definition and more volume when it comes to evenings out, so I use the L’Oréal Paris Brow Artist Genius Kit, using both the wax and the powder to get the desired look.
If you want a little blush, in addition to the golden glow from the highlight, apply a small amount of the Benefit sugarbomb to the apples of your cheeks, before finishing by applying a deep nude to your lips from the L’Oréal Paris Color Riche La Palette Nude (second from bottom).
Which look will you be loving this season? Let me know.
