Skincare | New products to fight dull skin & pigmentation

Winter + exam stress + bad diet + little sleep = VERY UNHAPPY SKIN.

The above sums up my recent weeks perfectly, but now that my exams are over and my sleeping pattern is finally getting back to normal, I was looking for a way to make my skin happy and healthy again.

My boyfriend’s parents kindly gifted me with a voucher to a local spa for Christmas, which was the perfect opportunity to give my skin the TLC it was in desperate need of. I booked in for the Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance facial which ticked all the boxes.

At the end of the facial, I had a quick skin consultation with the therapist who advised me on using products which target dull skin and pigmentation as they are two of my main concerns. The majority of my current routine targets dry skin and I was advised to inject some new products into the current routine to ensure that I effectively target all three concerns.

Since then, I have read (nearly) every article dedicated towards fighting dull skin and pigmentation, browsed all of the most popular skincare websites and read far too many product reviews. Following this, I’ve also bought a few new products (see below) in the hope of having bright, radiant and even skin.

  1. Caudalie Vinoperfect Concentrated Brightening Essence
  2. Pixi Glow Tonic
  3. The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%
  4. The Ordinary Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate Solution 10%

I will be putting these to the test over the coming weeks so make sure you check back here for an update.

p.s. if you have any product recommendations then please let me know.. either by commenting on this post or tweet me @writtenbyH.
